Location: “Boorala” – Frances, SA

The Role

The Role will be located at Boorala Farm, Frances SA, 30 minutes from main centre of Naracoorte. The farm consists of sheep breeding and 1900ha of wheat, canola and bean crops.

The Boorala Farm is seeking 2 casual enthusiastic machinery operators/ farm hand to join the team for cropping, with a focus on the cropping enterprises working closely with the Farm Manager. 

You will be involved in working as a casual machinery operator on a daily basis. The position involves performing duties and carrying out work in areas such as: Using farm machinery not stopping at planting/sowing, spraying, spreading, harvesting and transporting grain/hay to the destinations and complete some maintenance of farm structures and equipment. You may also be required to assist in livestock duties.

Skills and Experience

• Perform duties for seeding, spraying, spreading and harvest.
• Operate machinery.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well in team environment
• Drivers licence
• First Aid
• Preference to have a HC Licence and SP Boom spray experience
