We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and pre-season servicing of on-farm machinery.
Working closely with the Management Team, you will ensure all machinery is maintained to a high standard and assist with the implementation of new equipment as needed. The role also involves liaising with dealers for parts.
Key responsibilities include the servicing, maintenance, and pre-season preparation of all farm machinery and equipment. This includes (but is not limited to) machinery used for planting/sowing, spraying, spreading, and harvesting. The aggregation operates with a fleet of modern machinery and an on-site workshop.
Previous mechanical experience in agriculture or broadacre farming is essential. A formal mechanical qualification will be highly regarded.
Sound computer skills are required, as the role involves working with systems and electronically reporting activities. Managing operational expenditures within budget is also a key responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication and planning skills.
